Pedregal Cares – Meet our People, Take 2

Last week we posted information from some of Pedregal de Cabo San Lucas workers that will benefit from your donation at the Pedregal Cares Relief Fund, we would like you to meet a few more we interview. While we talked to them, we could see their eyes sparkling with gratitude: whether by helping them with a water tank or with a new and secure roof for them and their families, be sure to know they appreciate it very much.

Meet Omar Hernandez, who is new to our security team here in Pedregal. He has been here for two months, and feels very lucky that he only lost his 2 wooden doors from his house.

Bernardo Quintana has worked in the maintenance department as a mechanic for 16 years. He lives in Cangrejos with his wife, and two sons (age 16 and 21). He lost his two water tanks, a queen mattress and one window.

Jose Luis Lopez from our maintenance department has worked here for a little over a year now. He lives with his wife in Lomas del Sol, and only suffered damages to his gardens.

Meet Manuel, who works in our security department. He lives in the center of town with his wife and 20 year old daughter. They lost their front door, the kitchen roof and railing. Also their two mattresses (1 king and 1 queen plus the bedding). They also need blocks, cement and siding for repairs.

Abel Urieta from the maintenance department who was living in Caribe until he lost his home in the storm. He needs cement block and siding to rebuild, and to help his father (who lives with him). He wears size 30 pants, medium shirt and size 7 mex shoes. His father wears size 36 pants and large shirts. He also needs clean water.

Meet Guadelupe Ibarra, who works in the maintenance department and lives with his sister and mother in Las Palmas. They lost their water tank and a queen mattress, and feel very lucky!

Lastly, we want you to meet Salvador Bejar, who lives in Caribe and works in the maintenance department here in Pedregal. He lost his roof for his home which is 5 x 6 meters, so he needs the material to replace it.
