I personally believe there is only one thing more blinding than the sunlight, it is the way a child smiles, wouldn’t you agree?
Two very dear friends of mine have been volunteering at Colonia Leonardo Gastelum, where Mrs Laura Garcia Garcia, a resident, has decided to make a change while organizing several programs on which adults and children can benefit from the betterment of their community. So far, a group of 10 moms are currently working in a program called “Niños en Acción” which encourages and helps children with their school and extra-curricular activities. These children are dedicated students who help at their home chores while attending English classes (by Colegio El Camino students) and practice sports on a regular basis. The positive change can already be felt among the streets and on the way these children are performing at school.
As Christmas approaches, we can do our share of spreading joy by donating a toy and brighten up their day. We are inviting everyone to help us get our goal of 180 toys for boys and girls (ages 3 to 14) and deliver them. Here is how you can be part of this magical experience:
- Bing a toy to Pedregal de Cabo San Lucas’ sales office or to Colegio El Camino before December 20th
- Join us on the evening of December 23rd to deliver these toys and enjoy the gratitude of these children
If you have questions about Niños en Accion or would like to help us deliver toys and joy, send me an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you in advance for your kind donation and support!
